Soap is better for the planet because the soapy water rejected is less toxic for the environment and aquatic organisms, it has better biodegradability than surfactants in shower gels or other dishwashing liquids.

You can wash everything at home with soap! I assure you that soap washes dishes better than dishwashing liquid.
